Sarah (Shorewood) Labrador Retriever Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Shorewood, Illinois

$59

My name is Sarah and everyone who meets me says I have the sweetest personality. Sadly, I have been adopted by two families that say they love me to pieces but they do not have the time or energy to keep up with me. I also never really received proper training for how to walk on a leash, wait nicely at the door, and other basic manners. I was in my last home for a year, but the owner had two foot surgeries and was not able to exercise me enough. I am a really good

soccer player and I can grab things out of the air when you throw them for me. I love going for walks and would make a great running partner. My DNA test results say I am 50% Labrador Retriever, 25% Great Pyrenees, and 12.5% Rottweiler. The rest is a mystery. I am a very large dog but I don't know that so I need to learn not to jump on people or pull on the leash. I am looking for a home with no cats because I can't stop myself from chasing them. I love time outside in the yard and I can run like a horse with giant leaps and bounds. When I ride in the car, I need a seat belt clip because I forget how big I am and I try to jump out the window if it is open. I prefer to be left alone when I eat and I can sometimes protect my toys so I need a home with older children who understand these boundaries. I am a very loving and beautiful dog and the next owner that takes me home needs to hire a home-based trainer to start working on manners right away so I can finally experience the love and security of a forever home. If you are young, energetic, and dedicated to helping me be all I can be, stop in to visit and meet me in person!
